Jagger Jameson could be the poster child for a nasty childhood campaign but he refused to allow it to dictate his future. At an early age, he learned to shut down all of his emotions and focus solely on survival. As it turned out, survival came in the form of a basketball scholarship with the University of Kentucky Wildcats. As the rest of the team around him focuses on having a good time and building friendships, Jagger worries only about using his talent to help him escape the life that was dealt to him. Everything is going smoothly until somebody from his past makes a reappearance, and with just the mention of a name, Jagger finds himself struggling to maintain his cool facade.

Colton Montgomery’s wealth allowed him the opportunity to have just about anything in the world he could desire…except the only thing he’d ever really wanted – Jagger Jameson. When the opportunity to try and tame a Wildcat comes his way, Colton welcomes the challenge.

OMG, I am crushing so hard over this book. TS Mckinney knocked this out of the park, or more appropriately, slam dunked it. I love everything this book was about and it had me going through so many emotions.

Sweet, sweet, Jagger. Trust me, you will fall in love with this boy and you will be ready to stand beside him or in front of him, whatever he needs in order to protect him. He has been so hurt, so abused, mistreated, you name it and he has suffered from it. Even though he thinks he is worthless, and not deserving of love, there is one person who knows better and he will do whatever it takes to prove it to him.

When Colton was just a boy and didn’t understand the feelings he was having or the protectiveness he felt over watching another boy, who seemed to be so lonely, but he stayed on course and watched from afar. He just knew that he wanted to be friends with him, talk with him, play basketball with him, but this boy, who was a young Jagger, refused to give him anything. He was even kind of mean to Colton in the sense that he wouldn’t talk to him or give him the time of day.

But, Colton never forgot Jagger, and he promised himself and to that young mistreated boy, that one day he would be his. And when he was his that he would love him with everything that he had. Ohh, and he also told him, "I'm going to f**# you so hard one day, Wildcat."

Jagger had one goal for his life and he never allowed anyone or thing to come close to him or mess up his plan. And that was to never be that scared little boy again, never go hungry again, and never, ever, give someone control over him, again. And, it was working pretty well for him.

He was a star basketball player and earned a scholarship, graduated from college with a 4.0 GPA, and had a well-paying job lined up. He was set for life and feeling quite proud of his achievement. But then who walks back into his life and turns everything upside down? Colton.

I can’t even tell you how much I love Colton and I was cheering him on the whole time. My cheeks are sore from smiling so much through this story. I love his confidence, his strength, his maturity, and his heart. He has a great group of friends who support each other and they all know just how much he loves his wildcat.

Jagger and Colton are... absolutely breathtakingly beautiful together. Jagger struggles with everything (talking, making friends, flirting, etc) because he has never had anyone in his life, but watching Colton tread carefully with him, yet be firm at the same time, was awesome. There were times that I was screaming out loud, Come on Jagger, enough is enough. Give in to Colten, he’s earned it. Lol,

TS Mckinney has written such a beautiful, heartwarming story but heartbreaking too. She touches on some hard subjects but I love how she turned that in to a safe haven for future kids. We see Jagger pull himself back and go through so many doubts.

He’s never been shown love and believed that he never would, but through some pretty powerful perseverance Colton sets out to show him just how wrong he is and OMG, it is freaking amazing. The level of care and patience Colton shows Jagger will bring your own emotions front and center.

Grab this story and be prepared to be sucked in from the very first chapter. It is that good and you will not regret it. The supporting characters are just as amazing as the main and I am hoping that they each get their own story in the future. Especially Landry. God, I can’t wait to get his story.

There are a few issues with editing but nothing I couldn't quickly figure out, therefore 5 stars from me because it took me on one heck of a ride and I freakin' loved it.

I really felt for the charecter
i enjoyed the book
Good story. I enjoyed the characters and it was quite humorous at times. Hot guys, unrequited love, tragic past & basketball, what more could anyone ask for?!
Just finished this and loved this so much. Jagger has been through so much but Colton didn't care. After all those years of them being apart Colton is going to show Jagger that he has alway loved him and desired him
I liked this story a lot. I tend to like broken characters who find their way though. I also enjoyed the whole cast of characters we met along with the MC's. I hope there are more stories to come from this group! The only negative comment I have is the editing was not stellar. I will definitely look for more from this author.
This was actually a great story, which I would have easily given 4 stars for. The main protagonist, Jagger, was a really well written and believable character, whose fears of falling in love and committing was understandable given his childhood. I did find it a little difficult to believe that Colton had been in love with Jagger since forever, seeing as they had pretty much never spoken except for a handful of words. I enjoyed the story a lot, but the manuscript could have done with some good editing. There were a fair number of typos, which I normally do find a little annoying, but the worse thing for me, which made me take a star away, was the change of point of view in the passages. For instance the story will be told from Jagger's point of view (POV), and then it would suddenly skip to Colton's POV for just a sentence or two, then back to Jagger. Even worse, it would suddenly jump into a secondary character's POV which totally took me out of the story. This is obviously a rather technical thing, so if you don't mind it, I think you'll really enjoy the story.
This was a very interesting book. At first I thought it was about two teammates who falls in love, there's a twist to the story which was refreshing. It was love that has grown over the years for one person and the other had to learn to allow to be love. It's not the typical cliché. The only reason I didn't put as love it was because of the many typos and mistakes. All I can say, so I don't give the plot away, is that Colton is describe as having green eyes and Jagger has very beautiful blue eyes however, there's a scene where Colton is described as having blue eyes and Colton with green eyes and it kept describing them with the opposite eyes then it went back to Colton with the green eyes and Jagger with the blue eyes, it was very annoying. Also, there was conversation between Riley, Rory and Jagger in a car. Then the conversation kept saying that "Colton says" but it was really Riley. UGH! It's very annoying paying $4.99 and getting all these typos and descriptions mixed up. But other than that, I really enjoy the book. Is this going to be a series?
