Loved the way the author has the unconventional character develop into the 'hero'. There were many scenes that you could say 'you saw that coming' but there were others that came as a surprise. There's a lot of sex talk but not much action so don't shy away from the story fearing that it's erotica. There is violence that is at times intense. The ending was a bit of surprise but also predictable in that the author wants the story line to continue in sequels.Product details

Didn't like the downplaying of religion.
The author apparently doesn't think much of the character of the American people.
I love apocolypse stories and erotica. This sort of combines the two. I also like sci-fi, and the geeky parts are pretty cool. It just wasn't interesting enough to give mroe stars. I normally get through a story this length in a couple hours, but I spread it out over a few days because I wanted to know the ending, but wasn't eager for it. There was no explicit ending scene, but there was a wierd masturbation scene in the beginning. I sort of feel jipped because there was no "happy ending". The book was free and it was entertaining reading.
Eric Coyote's writing has made me a fan! I have not been swept up in reading for such a long time! Thank you Mr. Coyote for the joyful reason a book can entrance a person. Enjoyed every second!
This is not what I normally read, but I gave it a try and really liked it. The main character is down to earth and I loved him. It was a book that I could not put down and I am on the list to be notified when the sequel comes out next year.
